What You Need to Know About Laser Treatment

• The laser does NOT eliminate hair 100%.
• Laser treatment is a hair reduction process.
• You may be left with fine hair or no hair at all; each person reacts differently to this treatment.
• The laser does not work on white or gray hair.
• Often, more sessions are needed than what you initially purchase. Touch-up sessions are always recommended every 3 to 4 months, and these must be paid for each time you attend.
• Sessions are scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks.
• You must shave the area the day before or on the same day of your appointment. It is very important to shave properly because the laser does not work on long or unshaven hair.
• If the area is not shaved, the treatment CANNOT be performed, and you will lose that session. The technician will NOT shave the area for you. If they do, there will be an additional charge of $10 to $50, depending on the area.
• After your treatment, you should NOT shave the area unless it is an emergency (for example, going to the pool or beach). Normally, hair falls out after laser sessions. You should only shave the day of your appointment or the day before.
• You should not be exposed to direct sunlight (beach or pool) for 7 days before or after the treatment, as this can cause skin discoloration.
• If you go to the beach or pool, you must always apply sunscreen (this applies especially to arms and legs).
